Description

Slotting machine frame Slotting machines are designed for external or internal chiselling of flat and curved surfaces to obtain profiles and grooves of various configurations, for processing keyways and spline holes in bushings, multi-faceted holes in various workpieces pre-processed on drilling, milling, boring machines, shaped surfaces (mainly blind, with small distances for tool exit).

The dimensions of the workpieces are limited by the size of the table up to 500 mm on 7A420 and a maximum stroke of up to 200 mm, up to 630 mm on 7D430 and a maximum stroke of up to 320 mm, up to 800 mm on 7D450 and a maximum stroke of up to 500 mm.

The technological operation called chiselling is a method of cutting with a special tool cutter on slotting machines, allowing to obtain flat surfaces of products of 9...12 quality with roughness Ra=0.8...10 µm.

When choosing a mortising machine, it is necessary to take into account various parameters, primarily: the size of the grooves, the maximum and minimum angle of inclination of the vertical tool, engine power, the size of the working surface.

The machines are used in the conditions of serial tool production or at various repair enterprises.

Mounting machines are large-sized and heavy devices. The frame is made of cast iron grade SCH-20. The accuracy class of mortising machines of models 7A420, 7D430, 7D450 according to GOST 7599-82-N. Machines are suitable for operation in UHL 4 conditions according to GOST 15150, according to a separate technical assignment by the Machine-Building Enterprise, the machines can be manufactured for use in T-4, TV-4, TS-4, TM-4, OM-4 climatic conditions

Features and description of the machines

The design of the machines allows for chiselling against the workpiece with a cutter overrun of no more than 5 mm, as well as processing inclined surfaces at an angle of up to 45° due to the presence of a rotary table device.

The mortising machine model 7A420 with a mortising tool stroke of 200 mm has an electromechanical drive, 7D430 with a stroke of 320 mm, 7D450 with a stroke of 500 mm has a hydraulic drive.

On mortising machines, the tool only makes a reciprocating motion in the vertical direction, and the feed movement of the workpiece itself is carried out through longitudinal, transverse and circular feeds. On the main table of the machine, located in the horizontal plane of the rectangular guides of the bed, a rotating round table with a dividing mechanism is installed.

Due to their design, mortising machines allow you to install a frequency drive for smooth regulation of the speed of strokes per minute by means of frequency modulation.

The control panel is installed on the machine frame as standard, and can be made on a suspended mount upon special request.

When using the processing of shaped surfaces using a copier and a flat template, both along the inner and outer contour. The table feeds in the longitudinal and transverse directions and has a rotation of 360° degrees.

As additional options, the machines can be equipped with a rotary cutter head (for chiselling at right angles in both directions), a tilt unit for the vertical cutter slide at an angle of up to 50° to the vertical plane (for making keyways in non-cylindrical holes), vertically re-installable tool, which allows to significantly expand the range of products processed on the machine.

Main units of slotting machines

Bed

The beds of slotting machines manufactured by our plant are cast and made of cast iron grade SCH-20, have a box-shaped form and consist of horizontal and vertical columns fastened together and serving as the base for all units of the machine. The lower column houses the lubrication systems and the machine drive.

Table and intermediate carriage

Table and intermediate carriage of the slotting machineThe machine table is located on the lower column of the machine, mounted on horizontal guides, and consists of transverse slides and a rotary circular table. The machine table has longitudinal, transverse and circular feeds. Longitudinal movement is carried out only manually using a flywheel, and transverse movement is manual or automatic using a gearbox. Accelerated and reverse movement is switched on the control panel. Automatic movement is performed only in the direction from the operator to the vertical column.

Rocker mechanism and slotting head

The mechanism is designed to transfer the gear drive to the vertical movement of the slotting machine. The purpose of the slotting head is to hold the slide with the tool holder, which perform reciprocating movements. The presence of vertical guides ensure their reliable movement without clearance during movement. The working stroke of the slide can be adjusted from 0 to 500 mm. In addition to adjusting the stroke size of the tool, you can adjust the height, this must be done to ensure the required position of the tool to the workpiece.

Since slotting machines are classified as complex machines, when purchasing, we recommend using the services of specialists from the plant's service department. During further operation of the machine, technical maintenance of the machine must be carried out in accordance with the requirements set out in the operating manual. The plant guarantees the machine's compliance with TU 3817-006-69398252-2015, undertakes to eliminate all breakdowns free of charge during the warranty period, provided that the consumer complies with the operating conditions.
